In this post you will learn how to perform an echocardiography exam from the subcostal view. Many people don’t know that but most standard views like the 4 chamber view or the short axis views can also be performed from a subcostal transducer position. The subcostal view can be very helpful in patients with bad image quality or in patients with suspected pericardial effusion. This video is meant for echo beginners.
